Kegerator
After realising that I was spending an obscene amount of money on beer every fortnight I decided to investigate alternate sources of beer supply. U-Brew It seemed to be the answer, only problem was that I needed to keep all the beer refrigerated due to the lack of preservatives. Also due to me being rather lazy I wasn’t too keen on having to bottle the beer every time, so thought kegging would be a good idea. After doing a bit of research I decided to buy and then modify a chest freezer. This should allow me to store 6 kegs (approx 100 litres of beer!). Got the idea off one of the many beer forums.
I made a wooden collar so that I didn’t have to make any permanent holes in the freezer. Thinking about redoing this soon.
An external thermometer controls the temperature, so that the beer stays at a perfect drinking temperature and doesn’t freeze.
