# Must Get some Strobist gear....

Been thinking about it for ages. Now I am finally taking some serious steps towards acquiring some hardware. Was about to spend a large amount of cash on a 580EX, but have thought better of it. For the same money I should be able to get a couple of old Nikon flashes off ebay (sb-24 or sb-26), cheap triggers and some umbrellas, stands etc…

I’m currently bidding on a couple of flashes. Once I win one of these I will order a cheap $80 triggers, see how they go. Would love to get Pocket Wizards, but think I’ll have a better chance of getting them (ie. convincing the wife) if I can produce some good shots first and then would be able to justify the expense. Also found some umbrellas, stands from a [local distibutor](http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au/prod5675.htm) will order these once I have a flash.
